That title is too long, but that’s because there is so much to say today! My new job is going well so far, and things are balancing out, so lets get started on today’s news.

  • NieR: Automata passes 2 million sales
  • Halo 3, 4, ODST, and Combat Evolved Anneversery Edtion get Xbox Backwards Compatibility
  • Heat Signature, the new game by Suspicious Developments
  • Doom on Switch Gameplay
  • Outlast + DLC is free on Humble Store right now

Lets get into the details

NieR: Automata Passes 2 Million Sales
According to the Japanese twitter account for the popular sci fi RPG, Nier: Automata has sold over 4 million physical copies and digital downloads. a wonderful achievement for an allegedly amazing game. I don’t know, I haven’t played.
Halo get Backwards Compatibility
Halo 3, 4, ODST, and Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition have received backwards compatibility for the Xbox One today. While cool, all but one of them were already playable on the XBone in the Master Chief Collection. Though this is good for the series nonetheless.
Heat Signature, By Suspicious Studios
I will start by saying I am bias. I am a huge fan of this studio’s previous game Gunpoint. Heat Signature is a space sci fi action game where the player takes on the role of a spaceship hijacking expert. It uses a more unique battle style in that you can stop time to plan out your actions. Imagine if those slomo scenes in Sherlock Holmes were put into Hotline Miami. Heat Signature released today on Steam for 15 dollars, but is currently 10% off to commemorate its release.
