I had never made a website as a joke before. And while I was never against the idea, I couldn’t have guessed that the thing that drove me to do it would be something as strange as Blaseball.

Welcome to the dark side of lasagna. Artefacts Studios has announced Garfield Kart: Dark Exodus, a rated M sequel to their hit game Garfield Kart Furious Racing, after misinterpreting a tweet by well-known industry analyst Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX).
Shirley Curry, the elderly YouTube let’s player, won many of our hearts with her wholesome playthroughs of games like Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. One modder is honoring her by making her into an NPC follower in the game.
Shirley Curry is an 82-year-old gamer with a decent-sized following on YouTube. She’s best known for her Skyrim playthrough, spanning over 300 episodes at this point. Her gentle demeanor and wholesome outlook cultivated an even more gentle and wholesome community.
Skyrim modder Daniel Kemp has released a teaser trailer, revealing plans to develop a Skyrim mod that adds Shirley as an NPC follower.
“Shirley will be available as a follower on the Nexus in early 2020. We will provide continuous updates as we add more content, and further down the line a quest-line will be added centered around Shirley herself.”
The character will emulate Shirley’s preferred combat style in her videos, a classic barbarian style with two-handed weapons and light armor. She’ll be available in both classic and remastered Skyrim. The developer even remarks on wanting her to be able to read books to the player. And don’t worry, the project has Shirley’s approval.
Last time we talked about Shirley, it was in regard to a petition her fans started to ask Bethesda to immortalize her in Elder Scrolls 6. While we don’t know if that’s officially happening, we do know that the efforts resulted in Shirley visiting the Bethesda headquarters and meeting Todd Howard himself.
The mod will be available on Nexus sometime early this year.
The efforts and accomplishments of the Shirley Curry community continue to warm my heart. The internet can be a pretty rude and cynical place., so it’s really nice seeing a consistent source of positive vibes and behavior from a community. You’re doing great things, folks.

Are you looking for a game to take a break from the same ol’ AAA nonsense that you have to pay $60 dollars to look at the opening cinematic, just to pay another 20 to open loot crates to make the game work? I would like to recommend Degrees of Separation for the Nintendo Switch. A hot (and cold) take on the puzzle-platformer genre that is beautiful, beautifully choreographed, and beautifully executed. I was personally intrigued by the artistic format of the game from the eShop menu. Being a sucker for elemental differences, I decided to boot up the game and I was for sure not disappointed based on what you will read from here on down.
From the mindset of Modus Games, This follows the story of two different, unique individuals, Ember and Rune, living in stark contrasts of one another’s surroundings. Ember living in a hotter atmosphere, and Rune living in a frozen wonderland, meet each other whilst trying to return to one another’s homes. The screen is split between the titular characters. Depending on who you are playing as, you must use each other’s abilities to the other’s benefits. An example being that Rune, being one who controls the cold, can walk over bodies of water as ice. Ember, however, can only swim in the warm water.
The climate changes based on what character you’re using, and how the screen is split, a task easier said than done. You (and a partner, if you choose to play co-op) must figure out how to collect different scarves throughout the game. The game makes you think and plot out your next move as certain objects, such as lamps make platforms move back and forth, depending on if you are heating it up or cooling it down. A fun challenge that stimulates the mind, while platforming along with a soothing narration talking about how your characters better their relationship because of your efforts.
Of course, there are a couple of gripes with trying to adjust your characters’ positions, so you can actually do what you need to do. Nothing bad like certain bad pedestrian games, but still a nitpick. I could also say that since I played this on the Switch, I was a victim of a few frame drops in portable mode, but that I can blame on the power of the Switch. It’s not bad, but be wary if you are a frame junkie like myself.
Overall, if you are looking for a game that gives you a beautiful look at what an Elemental based game should look like, this is a game you may like. If you are a platform junkie looking for the next Super Meat Boy, or Fez, this is a game you may like. If you like stimulating games, that challenge you to look at the environment and plot out your next moves in order to get some wicked sweet scarves, this is a game you may like. I am glad to know that Degrees of Separation exists, not only for Switch, but for other platforms, like Xbox, PS4, and Steam. So if any of what I have said, peaks interest, be sure to check it out, and give Modus Games a little love today!

Let’s be real, video game culture has had a bit of a problem with women. There’s an endless ocean of instances where women were harassed online just for being a girl. This is especially true with eSports. But according to recent research, female viewership is increasing.
It’s finally time. The legend known as the Nintendo Wii has been laid to rest at last, as the Wii Shop channel is closed down for good.
Way back in September of 2017, Nintendo announced that they’d no longer be supporting the biggest console of all time. While they stopped developing games for it long ago, this will be the final step where they close down the Wii Shop channel. No longer will users be able to purchase games online, download already purchased games, or use the Wii Transfer tool.
This took into effect on January 31.
Hopefully, by now you’ve already spent your Wii Shop points, downloaded all of your games, and transferred what you could onto a Wii U.
Rest in peace, Wii. You’d done enough.
You may have heard something about Mermaids, Hbomberguy, trans rights, charity live streams, and Ocasio Cortez lately. Allow me to provide some context.
Toby Fox, the creator of the indie hit Undertale, has teamed up with professional wrestler Kenny Omega to make a promotional video for the upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 13.
If you’re like me, you may have been asking yourself why everyone’s been talking about something called the Raimi Suit, and why people are so angry about it.
Earlier today, Insomniac Games announced an update for Spider-Man (2018) for the PlayStation 4. The free update included a new suit for the player to wear. It’s the same suit that Toby Maguire wore in the 2002 film Spider-Man, directed by Sam Raimi. Thus named the Raimi suit.
While this sounds great, it was preceded by some anger and entitlement by the gaming community. Fans had been wanting the suit for nearly as long as the game has been out. Spider-Man (2018) has a number of suits, referencing different films and alternate universes, after all, such as Homecoming, the Iron-Spider, and Into the Spider-Verse.
When Insomniac announced the details for the final DLC, Silver Lining, fans noticed that it also lacked the Raimi suit. They took this to mean the game would never get the suit. Sure enough, the developers were harassed and criticized for this exclusion, calling all previous suit “trash” and claiming that Insomniac doesn’t listen to their fans.
Fortunately, Insomniac is handling the negative input fantastically. Take the below example for… example.
Of course, there were many folks in the community that were completely content with the game, and some that were upset with the people angry at insomniac for not including the suit.
All of that drama now concluded with this update.
If you can’t tell, this particular article is a bit more bias than most. I found the aggression to be extremely unwarranted, and super entitled. They worked hard on the game, and they’ve made an amazing experience as a result. But they’re ruining everything because they don’t have the suit from a 2002 film that most of y’all only meme at this point? I don’t even know what kind of licensing they might have had to handle to get this update to happen. Why can’t y’all just appreciate what you have?
The suit looks good though, I can’t deny it.
