Crackdown 3 has another release date. Assuming this is the last one, it’s expected to come out on February 15, 2019.

Xbox hosted X018 recently, a big promotional event for Xbox content. In it, they release more details regarding the upcoming open-world action game. This included a release date, Xbox program inclusions, releasing the first game for free, and a gameplay trailer of their competitive multiplayer mode.

Crackdown 3 release date: February 15, 2019.

This is I think the fourth time they’ve announced a release date for the game. It was originally expected to release in late 2016 but was then delayed to spring 2017, then one other time I can’t recollect, and now February.

Crackdown 3 will also be a part of both the Xbox Play Anywhere and the Xbox Game Pass program. This means it’ll be available to Game Pass subscribers on Launch, and those who can play the game will be able to play on Xbox One and PC, even if they only own one copy of the game..

To further promote the occasion, Microsoft has announced that the original Crackdown, the one for the Xbox 360 in 2007, will be available on Xbox One through backward compatibility for free. It’ll also come with some additional technical support for Xbox One X, supporting 4K resolution.

And lastly is Wrecking Zone, their multiplayer game mode. They released a new trailer for the mode, giving us a closer look at what it’ll actually be like. The entire map is destructible, I guess? They talked a big game about how they use the Azure cloud computing service to process all the complicated physics involved. As cool as it seems, that just makes me wonder how long it’ll be before that feature is shut down when player interest drops.

Forgive me for irregular or imperfect news posts here for the next few days. I’m out-of-state, visiting family, and it’s hard to find the spare time to get writing done. Also, this laptop isn’t the best. I spilled Coke on it a while back and now the keyboard is a bit wonky (don’t judge me).
