Details regarding Monster Hunter: World’s first major update is here. Called Iceborne, the update brings the Capcom title into a frigid tundra to fight the beasts therein.

Capcom announced the update recently alongside a new trailer. In it, we see a team of hunters in chase of a Rathalos. Instead of fighting, the firey beast flies out into the sea, and toward an island of ice. Que the cool name reveal. Before the video ends, a monster shrouded in darkness slashes around some and glows with red eyes.

The release of Iceborne is scheduled for “Autumn 2019.” So don’t get too excited. The expansion is expected to include new weapons, quests, environments, and monsters. Details on all of these are unknown at this time, however.

Monster Hunter: World was released at the start of the year, establishing itself as one of the best selling Capcom titles of all time. They’ve kept the game fresh since then with regular mini-updates, adding new monsters, quests, and weapons. Though none of them were to the same degree as this.
