PlayStation Classic Full Game Library Revealed by Sony

Remember back in September, when Sony announced the PlayStation Classic? At the time, they didn’t tell us the full list of games it’ll come with. Well, now we know.

The PlayStation Classic, a miniaturized version of the original PlayStation, comes with 20 preloaded games on it. The original announcement didn’t list every game, though, only five of them (Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms). This led people, including myself, to suspect that the rest of the game selection was going to be garbage. This has now been amended, as Sony has posted the entire list of games on the PlayStation Blog website.

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
  • Twisted Metal
  • Wild Arms

I’m noticing some classic favorites of mine, like Oddworld and Super Puzzle Fighter. There’s a number of actual classic games missing though, like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and Tony Hawk Pro Skater. The first two I chalk up to the recent remasters, with Tony Hawk absent because of licensing complications.

The PlayStation Classic will release on December 3 for $99.99. It comes with the 20 games listed above, as well as two controllers.

Here’s a fun fact for ya: The day I reported on the PlayStation Classic’s announcement was the same day I reported on Stormy Daniels comparing Trump’s goober to Toad from Mario Kart.

Thursday 9-20-18: The Toad Trend, PlayStation Classic, and Red Dead Online

It was hectic, but the news is here once more.

  • The Toad Trump Conundrum
  • The PlayStation Classic
  • Rockstar Confirms Red Dead Online

Trump’s Toad

Ok so.. Let’s just get this out of the way now, shall we? In her memoirs, porn actress Stormy Daniels remarks about American president Trump’s genitals. She, more specifically, stated that she “lay there, annoyed that I was getting f@#ked by a guy with Yeti pubes and a dick like the mushroom character in Mario Kart”

As you can understand, the gaming community took this information and ran with it hard. Twitter exploded with GIFs and images of the Mario Character, news sites reported most humorously on it.

If you felt bad for Waluigi not being in Smash Bros, imagine what Toad is going through.

PlayStation Classic

Sony has recently announced their own mini-retro console. Based on the original PlayStation, this console is about half the size and comes with 20 pre-loaded games. It’ll also natively support HDMI output. It’s available for pre-order and will release in the near future for $99.99.

The community isn’t very happy about the reveal, however. The full game list has not been revealed, making many believe it’s not that worthwhile of a collection. They also find the price a bit too high. When you compare it to the NES Mini, it’s clear inspiration, it has 10 fewer games and costs $40 more.

Red Dead Online

It’s no surprise to hear, but Rockstar has officially confirmed the inclusion of online multiplayer for the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2. They claim the feature will have narrative, solo and cooperative content, all that jazz. Given the direction that Grand Theft Auto Online went, this makes sense. Does this mean those with fat pockets will be riding around on rocket horses shooting old western rocket launchers? Time will tell.

That’s all for today, folks. Tune in tomorrow for more. Sorry I missed yesterday, it was a busy day. Otherwise, have a great night.
