Toby Fox, the creator of the indie hit Undertale, has teamed up with professional wrestler Kenny Omega to make a promotional video for the upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 13.

The video, running six minutes in length, begins with a young boy in the Super Potato retro game store in Akihabara. The boy has picked out a fictional game, Kenny’s Quest for the Nintendo Famicom. Once he gets home, the boy plays an Undertale styled game where Kenny Omega fights against his rival Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Of course, the video has it’s own Toby Fox style of gameplay twists and fourth wall breaking. But if you want to know more, you’ll have to watch for yourself.

Kenny Omega, a pro wrestler in the New Japan Pro Wrestling organization and video game enthusiast, is a genuine fan of Undertale. He cites the game as his favorite game if 2018 in an article by Giant Bomb, even. Omega said that he met and befriended Fox at last year’s Tokyo Game Show.

Toby Fox is currently working on Deltarune, an Undertale-esque game with a free demo available now.

Kenny Omega will fight against Tanahashi on January 4 during the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 13. More on that at njpwworld.com.

This reminds me of when Pro wrestler Xavier Woods was announced to be a playable character in Super Bomberman R. I’m not that into wrestling, to be honest. So both of these news bits don’t much extend beyond me saying “huh, neat.”
