Have you ever been torn between whether you’d rather play Untitled Goose Game or Minecraft? Thanks to modder DeltaForceTwo, you don’t have to choose. Introducing Untitled Chicken Mod!

Untitled Chicken Mod is a mod for Minecraft: Java Edition on PC based on the hit indie game by House House, Untitled Goose Game. When installed, the player takes control of a single chicken, roaming the world of Minecraft, honking and generally causing havoc for the villagers nearby. The mod even comes with an accurate recreation of the first level of Untitled Goose Game (the one with the gardener).

The mod was developed by DeltaForceTwo, a young German modder who created the project in their spare time. It was initially revealed in a Reddit post, where a video demo of the game detailed some of the gameplay.

DeltaForceTwo explains that, while they would be ok with it, they cannot release the source code for the game, since it is intertwined with the Minecraft source code and the German EULA forbids them from distributing any Minecraft code legally.

Where to Download Untitled Chicken Mod

Interested in playing Untitled Chicken Mod yourself? The modder has provided a Github Repo where you can download and run a mod installer. The mod comes with the first level of Goose Game, and the ability to run the mod on standard Minecraft worlds. They warn players to make backups of their worlds, however, since they do not know if this will affect them in some way.

This is a wonderfully creative combination of ideas. And it could not have been easy to make. I’ve worked with Java, it’s not the easiest language. With any luck, the mod will gain in popularity and we can see some interesting chicken-based adventure maps be shared amongst the Minecraft community.

My hat comes off to you, DeltaForceTwo.
